Now that you’ve mastered the basics of knitting, time to move on to something a little more challenging. You’ll need to pick up a cable needle to do this, if you haven’t already. Using the third needle may seem a bit scary and intimidating, but really it helps to pull your stitches forward or back to keep them out of the way. Learning how to do the cable stitch in knitting is simply crossing stitches over one another like a braid. It really is that simple.
